Originally from Augusta, GA, Brent began his
dance career in 1990 with Fred Astaire Dance Studios.
During this time, he received extensive training with
some of the nation's top coaches such as 7 time Latin
champions Forest Vance and Susie Thompson, 8 time American
Rhythm champions Bob Powers and Julia Gorchakova, Bruce
Whitmore, Bruce Hasson, Sheri Rutherford and many others.
He then went on to be in the top 5 teachers for 6 years
straight and 2 of those years he was honored with "Top
Teacher Overall".
In the years of 1992 through 1996, Brent competed in
Latin dancing at a professional level earning 8 top 3
finishes on a national and regional level.
Leaving his home state of Georgia, Brent moved to Louisville
to dance with a local independent studio where he started
dancing with Jessica Willhite. Soon after, he and Jessica
decided to venture out on their own and thus the birth
of Steppin-N-Time.
His goals are to continue to be involved in the local
dance community and to have the "happiest, friendliest
spot in town". He hopes that you will also find it
to be so.
Brent is happily married to Kari Allen, also a fabulous
dancer, and they are the proud parents of two beautiful
boys. Their son, Coty, is 7 years old and Cooper is 6
months old.
