Forrest began his career in 1987 in Ft. Smith, AR. After working for Service Merchandise as a store manager, he found a Fred Astaire Dance Studio across the street. Intrigued, he went in and the rest is history.
From Ft. Smith, he traveled extensively developing studios in several cities and states including Birmingham, Al, Nashville, TN, Greenville, SC, Greensboro, NC, Chattanooga, TN, and finally Louisville, KY.
His love of dancing has always been close to his heart, but the ability to teach, train and develop people has always been his passion. Always in the top echelon of teachers wherever he taught, he has always felt that his biggest strength was in the developing of staff and studios.
One of his dreams was to develop a purely student friendly studio where everyone was welcome. The ability to build and develop a studio from the ground up and the studio is truly a "student's" studio is why Forrest is honored to become part of a very special studio named "Steppin-N-Time".
Forrest is married to Kristie Maulin and live in the St. Matthews area. Kristie currently attends Southern Seminary and is working toward her Master's Degree. They are the proud parents of two cats, Pepper and Stryper.
His hobbies include anything to do with a computer, motivational reading (reading period) and of course training and motivating people.
